The History behind the Los Angeles Angels

 

When the LA Angles were founded in 1961 and called the California Angels. In 1961 they made an appearance in the American League. In 1969 the Angels were accepted in the Western Division of the American League. Ever since they were accepted in the Western Division of the American League the Angles are still in the League and always will be. The stadium that the Angels play at is called and always called Angel Stadium. The Angels never moved locations they stayed where they were at ever since 1961. The Angles won their last and only World Series in 2002 against the San Francisco Giants.

Who will be the Next Power Hitter for the Boston Red Sox

Since David Ortiz (Big Papi) retired after the 2016 Season The Boston Red Sox are searching for a new DH(Designated Hitter) to hit only when the home team is American League. From what I've been hearing the Red Sox are trying to get Miguel Cabrera from the Detroit Tigers. In the 2016 David Ortiz had a .315 batting average 38 Homeruns 127 RBI as Miguel Cabrera had .316 Batting Average 38 HomeRuns 108 RBI. David Ortiz had more RBI's than Cabrera but Cabrera has .1 more BA than Ortiz. The Red Sox might struggle against the Yankees next season.

To get Microsoft Office 2010 Pro Plus for free you need to find a download for the office suit and download a Microsoft Office activator. With that it will activate the software for you for free without entering any product keys. It will work with all versions of Microsoft Office. iMovie vs. WeVideo vs. Windows Movie Maker

iMovie,WeVideo and Windows Movie Maker are all video editing tools. iMovie and Windows Movie Maker can be installed on the computer. The difference in iMovie is iMovie can ONLY be installed on Mac and Windows Movie Maker can ONLY be installed to Windows computers that run the operating system Windows 7-Windows 10. WeVideo can be used online. iMovie and Windows Movie Maker are more powerful and better than WeVideo because iMovie and WMM(Windows Movie Maker) can be use offline and have more options to be exported to a DVD or to a digital format. iMovie is the apple version of Windows Movie Maker but more organized and keeps all of your videos saved in the application and iMovie saves your progress by itself and it organizes all of the useful tools for you and it makes it easier to add audio in your video. Windows Movie Maker has you save your videos on your hard drive(HDD). WMM uses your Microsoft Account to save all of your videos on onedrive from Microsoft. WeVideo saves all of your work in your WeVideo account. WeVideo has alot of features but iMovie and WMM beat it by a blowout. WeVideo is not as powerful or easy to use as iMovie and WMM.

There are the 3 video editing programs that I talked about but I personally like Windows Movie Maker and iMovie the same since I use them both the most. Iv'e tried Wevideo and I don't like it.

Lenovo thinkPad X201 Tablet

The Lenovo ThinkPad X201 Tabley is a computer tablet that is not touchscreen but it does have the Lenovo tablet pen and the screen spins and goes down like a tablet. It has a Quad-Core Intel Core i5 1.7 GHZ with 4GB of RAM (memory) it includes a external DVD/CD writer-reader and on the computer it has 3 USB ports (1 on the right side and 2 on the left) it has a VGA port on it. Not only the Lenovo eraser mouse but it also has a trackpad on it for better use.

Lenovo W500

The Lenovo W500 has a intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHZ and with 4 GB of RAM (Memory) it does have BlueTooth ability and a 15.4 ' screen with 3 USB ports, a VGA adapter, SD card reader, built in dvd/cd writer/reader, Ethernet connector and the charging port is in the back of the computer next to the battery. The computer can run Windows XP all the way up to Windows 10, but it doesn't have a touchscreen. For the time it was built it was one of the most high powerful computers and it still beats some of the new computers, for example ChromeBooks. The W500 is better than a ChromeBook because its faster when on internet and the larger screen and the bigger keyboard but mostly because its more durable when dropped and you can change the hard drive to any size.

My opinion on the Lenovo ThinkPad X-220 Tablet

The Lenovo X-220 is a great computer because it features touchscreen, and a Lenovo drawing  pen for the computer.The screen on the computer also spins around to be like a tablet. The computer has a lot of drivers to install but if you get the right driver it will work great. But overall its one of the best computers from Lenovo in my opinion

What I am doing over the weekend

Saturday I am going to be doing a garage sale to sell my things to raise money to rebuild my gaming computer and get a new monitor for gaming. Sunday I am going to play xbox all day. Well theres my weekend

How to fix your startup disk after boot camp defaulted Windows startup Disk

To reset the startup disk from starting the windows format you need to open System Preferences 

and click Startup disk and click on your Mac OS X partition to set your MacOS (Mac OS X) Partition

then click restart and it should boot off of the Mac partition on the hard drive should be the primary startup Operating System.

What I do with old Macs from 2001-2007

The thing that I do with old macs that don't work is I put
them in my collection of Macs that I started 2 years ago with the first mac in the collection a 2006 MacBook 13
inch screen. 
I sometimes take them apart to try to get them working again just for different things like holding pictures, music, videos and using the older mac operating systems. The oldest operating system from apple that I use is 10.2 (Jaguar) and the newest operating system from apple that I use is 10.11 (El Capitan) and the newest computer in the collection is 2 2007 MacBook Pro 15 inch screen.

To create a podcast using windows you need to download Windows Essentials from the Microsoft website. then open "Windows Movie Maker" and create

 

What I've been doing this week

This week I've been learning how to turn a mac into a windows computer while the mac operating system is installed. To do this you need to install Mac OS X 10.5 or higher, Then you want to press command+shift+U to open the utilities folder in the applications folder. Then you want to double click Bootcamp. Bootcamp is the application that allows you to install windows on a mac with mac OS X installed.

  This is similar to the 2007 Macbook Pro but it the 2008 has 1 fan in the middle as the 2007 Macbook Pro has 2 fans on the both sides.

Border Walls

In class last week I learned about Border Walls.

One author said that it was a good idea for border walls because it protects the people inside of the country. The author also said that its going to take a lot of money and time to build the walls but its worth it. The wall can be up to 25 ft tall and 400 ft wide. The wall can keep people from jumping the border and coming to a country illegally and to protect if that country is in war or being attacked by another country.

   Another author said that it was a bad idea for border walls because it keeps people from trading goods. The bad side to the border walls is people are going to have to work harder to make the walls. People are going to have to live with being in a boxed country.

  My opinion on border walls is its not a good idea because border walls are just boxing a country up and giving more security and more reasons to leave. If my country was boxed up by walls i would leave a go to a country that is open and border wall free. If I were a worker for a country that wants a border wall build i would quit. Border walls is just another way of keeping people out of that country and to make them feel like they live in a country that is high security and doesn't make them feel safe.

My exprience with my 2007 Macbook Pro

My Macbook pro has been giving me a hard time this week. It keeps freezing all the time when I'm trying to do work. But i fixed it and now its working great. All I did was turned it on and went to the apple and clicked on shutdown


I also unpluged the ethernet cable and pluged it back in.
 
                        Thanks to apple for making the 07 Macbook Pro one of the best/worst computers in history of its time.

What I've been learning over the week

In class I have been learning about border walls. The border walls can help protect people and the country. The author claims that border walls are good because it keeps out people that aren't allowed in he country.

Also they are taking about how MLB teams can be better and talk about how players are playing and on what team they will more likely play better with, for example Chase Headley he will play better with the Boston Red Sox Organization.

What I did over the Weekend

Dodger Stadium

Over the weekend I went to Los Angeles to visit 2 baseball stadiums(Dodger Stadium & Angel Stadium) Saturday I went to Angel Stadium and they lost to the Astros (4-1). On Sunday I went to Dodger Stadium and the outcome of that game was a Win for the LA Dodgers against the Colorado Rockies. The Dodger game went through 10 innings (4-3). Overall I had a fun weekend got to see a lot of my favorite MLB players from the 2 LA teams and got to see Angel Stadium and Dodger Stadium for the first time in my life.

What's going on in the Classroom

My Opinion on the 2007 Macbook Pro

My opinion on the macbook pro is great except the graphics card issue in the motherboard. To replace the logic board its a complete teardown as you see in the picture the blue part on the case thats the logic board on the 07 Macbook Pro

Overall its a great computer just takes a lot of maintenance to keep it working but its a computer that I will do anything for to keep it working.   

iOS 9 Vs. iOS 10

I think that iOS 10 is terrible, now to get put in the passcode you have to press the home button 

and if you swipe up you have 2 control menus

 

As to iOS 9 you swipe to the right to put in your passcode

And the control menu was more easier than iOS 10 control menu

In my overall opinion Apple iOS 9 is better than iOS 10

What I'm up to

                    So far I learned how to install a backlight to a computer keyboard using a non-backlit keyboard. This process seems to be fun so this is the before (picture on left) and the hopefully  after (picture on right).

Look at the differences in the keyboards. The one on the left is non-lit and the one on the right does have a lighted keyboard.


They are so different; my goal is to make a non- backlit keyboard light up with 2 F keys on the very top of the keyboard and make it look like this:

What I'm learning so far

What I'm learning is how to make a website using google sites. Google sites is a good and easy way to make a website, its so simple to create and edit and choose a theme for your website.

I'm also learning about how to use different kinds of computer software for example: Mac OS X 10.4/10.5/10.6/10.7/10.8/10.9/10.10/10.11 and Windows 7/8/8.1/10.
